Today, banks must deal with a wide range of constraints such as new and emerging rules for currency transaction reporting, anti-money-laundering measures, financial privacy, customer identification, and institutional information sharing.  Information destruction processes are receiving far greater scrutiny and business continuity issues have assumed greater importance.  What's more, banks must address all of these challenges in an increasingly cost-conscious environment.  The common thread shared by all of these areas: success will be defined by the effectiveness of information management initiatives.
